Just expect a bit more waiting. Get ready PC community as AMD 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper and Ryzen 9 3950X CPUs prepare for launch.

If has to do with PC components, then you can bet AMD’s name is not far from the discussion. You name it; server and HEDT CPUs, Navi GPUs, tweaks to current Ryzen products and more continue to pepper the internet.  But wait, there’s more!

What’s the latest AMD News buzz?

The latest buzz is all about the next high-performance SKUs from Team Red. The highly anticipated yet mysterious 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper and 3950X CPUs now have confirmed launch times. We have this direct from AMD who said, “We are focusing on meeting the strong demand for our 3rd generation AMD Ryzen processors in the market and now plan to launch both the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and initial members of the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor family in volume this November. We are confident that when enthusiasts get their hands on the world’s first 16-core mainstream desktop processor and our next-generation of high-end desktop processors, the wait will be well worth it.”

More cores than an apple orchard

The new Ryzen chips from AMD sport some compelling drool-worthy features. The Ryzen 9 3950X 16-core 32-thread CPU bring to bear the highest boost frequency out of all the 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs and is gunning right for Intel’s X-Series Skylake processors. Each possess similar core-counts and threads, though Intel’s Core i9 Cascade Lake-X HEDT processors should be launching just ahead of the new Ryzen chips.

The mighty 3rd Gen Threadripper is the more ominious and anticipated entry and supposedly there will be more than one variant in the wild. HotHardware explains, “Rumors also suggest that there will be two versions of these new Threadripper processors: TRX4 HEDT and WRX8. It’s said the former will be aimed at enthusiasts and hence will support overclocking; there will also be support for quad-channel DDR4-3200 memory and up to 64 PCIe lanes. The latter boasts 8-channel DDR4-3200 memory support along with up to 128 PCIe lanes.”

What’s the best cooler for 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs?

An Asetek liquid AIO CPU cooler is the best cooler for AMD’s new Ryzen line of CPUS. Peak performance cores like these new 3rd gen AMD Ryzen HEDT CPUs thrive on liquid cooling and we can’t wait to get our hands on the new 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper and 3950X CPUs to see just how much performance we can squeeze out of these chips using Asetek AIO CPU liquid coolers.
