Two of the biggest games of the Summer recently went Gold. Gearbox Software tweeted that Borderlands 3 has gone gold, the loot-based co-op shooter is now complete and should begin shipping in a month on Sept 13.
Here’s the latest gameplay trailer. It’s a character highlight that shows off what players can expect if they select FL4K as their playable character.
Gears 5 has also gone Gold, with a Sept 10th release date. This is the latest sequel in the Gears of War franchise, which features 3rd person cover-based shooter mechanics within visually rich backdrops and environments. Matt Booty, Head of Xbox Game Studios showed his excitement stating, “I’m very proud of what the team at The Coalition has achieved. Not only is it the biggest Gears ever, but it’s also the most technically refined, with 4K HDR gameplay at 60 frames per second on Xbox One X, cross-play across all modes on Xbox and Windows 10 and Steam, and updated accessibility features such as Adaptive Controller support. Together with day-and-date availability on Xbox Game Pass, we look forward to welcoming more players into the Gears universe than ever.”

Nothing like hot new game titles to get the juices flowing to rebuild or refresh your current gaming rig. If you’re in the market for a new pre-built boutique PC, Falcon Northwest just announced their beastly new Talon system refresh and selected our bold new Asetek 680LS all-in-one CPU liquid cooler to tame temps while still blinged-out with subtle RGB lighting. We’re super excited to launch the 280mm alongside such a prestigious unveiling.
But all Dennis and I see is raw inspiration and another reason to build our own new gaming rig centered on our new 680LS and a pair of cherry-picked 140mm fans. Keep it tuned to CoolNation for more as that build develops and we get down and dirty with Gear 5 and Borderlands 3.
