Gamers! Enthusiasts! Esports pros and those aspiring to be – welcome to CoolNation – our brand new conduit to the community. I’m “Asetek_Shawn” one the company’s Technology Evangelists. My fellow Asetek TE – Dennis Hampe and myself are running point on this wild new project. We have so many things baking in the oven and we needed a central location to talk about it all.

You see, Asetek recently launched a rebranding effort, which brought more than a swank new logo and fresh coat of paint. A paradigm shift has occurred at the company and at the heart of it all is our renewed thirst for innovation and community engagement. We’ve realized the best way forward to achieve this is to dive right in and reconnect directly with the PC gaming and enthusiast community so you may help guide our hand as we embark on this next chapter.

The Evangelists

For the company’s pair of Technology Evangelists, that next chapter means organizing more promotions, giveaways, events and strategic marketing and PR efforts – and of course making ourselves as approachable as possible to the community. You may have spied us lurking around Reddit and our OEM partner forums. We encourage you to reach out – don’t be shy. It’s all part of our ongoing effort to learn what’s loved, what’s loathed and what’s sorely absent in the AIO LC product sector. What would you like to see from Asetek and cooling solutions in general? We want to hear from you; where do you think we should focus our efforts? CoolNation was born from that desire to engage and learn from the community.

But what the heck is CoolNation?

When you get right to it, CoolNation is our consumer-facing blog. Look a little closer and you find a gamer-focused hub that will operate like an Asetek ambassador for PC gaming, esports and PC enthusiasts. It was created to host and facilitate an even deeper level of engagement than our daily forum trolling could achieve. The platform will be used to share our stories with the community as well as engage them. Here we can offer insight and new ways to leverage our technology, collect feedback and of course — handout some sick giveaways.

The site will be updated several times a week and believe me, we have all sorts of content planned.  Expect to see cool new PC builds with insight on how things are pieced together, best use case for a given system and why we selected each component for the build. We have some keen How-Tos planned, which will arm new and experienced builders with helpful tips and insight.

Stay tuned for our first CoolNation overclocking competition. As a lead up we will be doing an Overclocking Guide for CPUs and GPUs. You’ll want to stay tuned for that if component overclocking is your bag.

Rebirth of Cool

Think of CoolNation as a banner under which gamers and enthusiasts can rally, educate themselves, share ideas and offer feedback on “Asetek Cooled” products. The platform will be used to tell our product stories while also engaging the community directly through competitions, industry interviews and giveaways.

The brand behind the brand

What separates us from other company blogs is our unique position in the industry. Asetek supplies all the top names as the brand behind the brand. This allows CoolNation to talk about, support and highlight the best and brightest names in PC components and peripheral gaming. Where other companies might shy away from mentioning a competing company’s PC solutions, we embrace it as a strength to better inform the community honestly about our technology and our partners.
